Yashasvi Jaiswal has been in the news for the all the right reasons recently. The southpaw’s maiden double ton in the IND vs ENG 2nd Test formed the base for Rohit Sharma’s side to level the series. After the match, Yashasvi revealed that he had a chat with Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar after his double-century.
Jaiswal tilted the scales firmly in India’s favour in the second Test, batting entirely through Day 1 and 2. The opening batter scored 209 off 290 balls and helped India post a huge total of 396 in their first innings.
Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar joined the bandwagon after Yashasvi’s terrific innings in praising the batter. Sachin took to social media to express his admiration.
Yashasvi, after the match, was asked about Sachin’s post on social media following his impressive knock. The batter revealed he had a chat with master blaster after the innings.
“I spoke to Sachin Tendulkar as well. He congratuled me and told me to keep working hard the way I am. He told me that it’s an important time for me and that consistency is very important. Thank you for sir’s wishes. I always admire him as my idol,” Yashasvi Jaiswal said.
