Ind vs Eng 2nd Test: Rishabh Pant’s struggle in England continues – Here’s why! – Team India wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant failed to impress in the 2nd Test against England here at the Lord’s on Monday as he was dismissed for just 22 by Ollie Robinson. India were expecting a lot from Pant as he has not performed in the first Test (Rishabh Pant departs). The visitors need a last push in order to take their lead past 200 and find a way to win the Lord’s Test.

Rishabh Pant departs
Pant, who was the hero of the Indian cricket team when they last toured Australia, has not performed up to the mark in England. In 2018, he scored a century at the oval. Apart from that knock, Pant has not even managed to score a fifty in England. He has played 6 matches on English soil where he has scored only 291 runs.
Rishabh Pant in England
Matches – 6
Innings – 11
Runs – 291
100s – 1
50 – 0
Why has Rishabh Pant failed in England?
The left-hand batsman likes to play aggressively and pitches in Australia, where there was bounce, was just perfect for Pant. But in England where the ball is swinging, Pant is finding it very difficult to tackle pacers. If Pant could not perform in the upcoming matches then Team India can turn towards Wriddhiman Saha who is warming the bench. However, Wriddhiman Saha has not played a single match in England and is sitting out of the team for quite a long time now.
Meanwhile, Indian tailenders are frustrating the English bowlers. They have taken the lead past 200 and these runs will harm England later on Day 5.
