Eng bowlers more focussed on getting revenge for Anderson at Bumrah, rather than getting the tail out. In trade, they have given away easy runs, thanks to Root’s inane field settings.

England bowlers tried to take revenge with Jasprit Bumrah for what the latter had done during England’s first innings. Bumrah, who troubled James Anderson with the nasty bouncers during the hosts’ batting, saw a barrage of bouncers being thrown by Mark Wood as revenge during India’s second innings of the fifth day of the play.

Jasprit Bumrah & Mark Wood engaged in heated argument
Jasprit Bumrah and Mark Wood engaged in a verbal spat after the 91st over. Bumrah gave an epic reply to the bouncers and the argument by smashing the ball for a four. The boundary from Bumrah’s bat received thunderous applauses from India’s dressing room.
Thereafter some dialogues were exchanged between Bumrah and the umpire that saw Jos Buttler’s intervention. However, Wood still didn’t stop and bowled a bouncer in the 93rd over that was hit badly on Bumrah’s helmet. Fortunately, the incident didn’t cause the Indian player any injury.
