IND vs ENG 2nd Test: Has Joe Root’s England duped India regarding James Anderson’s playing decision?: Joe Root’s England seemed to have been playing mind games regarding their playing side against India in the ongoing Test series. The visitors wove a mystery belt around their ace pacer James Anderson- from suffering a tight quad muscle to missing training on the eve of Lord’s Test, to finally being included in England’s playing XI against India in the second Test at Lord’s.
It seemingly looked like propaganda attempted to dupe the visitors by making hoax announcements regarding Anderson being not optimally fit to play the second Test. The hosts England were on a back foot after witnessing a fiery performance from India in the opening Test following which they attempted to play mind tricks against the visitors. The false propagation from the penultimate day was an attempt to put India in some complacency by announcing the absence of their trump card- James Anderson.
