IND vs ENG 2nd Test: Ben Stokes claims Vizag pitch might play little bit better than Hyderabad

IND vs ENG Test: England skipper Ben Stokes confident VIzag pitch to be play little better than Hyderabad Pitch

The Vizag pitch confusion still continues. While the Hyderabad pitch favoured spin heavily, it remains to be seen what happens in IND vs ENG 2nd Test. Ahead of the match, England Cricket Team skipper Ben Stokes claimed that the pitch can behave initially like the Hyderabad Pitch.

The English spinners ran riot in Hyderabad. The visitors took the gamble to go out with 3 full time spinners with Joe Root as the part time spinner. Ultimately it was those spinners who wove their magic on Day 4 to help the tourists script a remarkable win.

Naturally the question stands, how will the Vizag pitch behave? Ben Stokes went on to say ahead of the match that the bit is likely to be initially similar to the previous game.

“It might play a little bit better initially than it did last week [in Hyderabad], but we don’t like to go in with too many preconceived ideas. We like to have some kind of idea because obviously that’s how we pick the team, then we just play what’s in front of us,” Ben Stokes told ahead of the 2nd Test.

It is imperative that the teams finalise their teams properly by judging the pitch conditions. Previously, India’s batting coach Vikram Rathour claimed that the Vizag pitch will favour spin but won’t turn from Day 1.
