Soon after getting his Indian cap in the 2nd T20I match against England, the dashing left-hander notched up his half-century in his debut T20I game and became the 2nd Indian only to achieve this feat after the Indian Test Vice-Captain, Ajinkya Rahane.

Although, Ishan Kishan fell 5 runs short to register his name as the Highest run-scorer on a T20I debut for India. Ajinkya Rahane scored 61 runs in his debut T20 match against England in 2011. Having said that, Ishan Kishan will cherish his dream debut for ages after scoring a fifty on debut.

The southpaw went on to bring up his Half-Century in style after hitting Adil Rashid downtown for a maximum hit. Soon after he piled up his fifty, he was trying to reverse paddle the leg spinner and perished in the process.

But by the time he left the crease, he alongside his captain, Virat Kohli stitched a solid partnership to ensure that India was in the pole position.
