IND vs ENG 1st Test: Jasprit Bumrah silences critics with 4/46, back in form after lacklustre show in WTC Final: Team India’s ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah kicked off the second edition of the World Test Championship with a bang. Returning with figures- 4/46 in the ongoing first Test against England at Trent Bridge, Nottingham, he rusted off the maligned image he acquired after he returned wicketless in the WTC final against New Zealand during June in Southampton.
The 27-year-old opened India’s account for wickets and was responsible for wrapping up the same as well. In the start, he dismissed Rory Burns before England were off the mark and staggered England’s innings after dismissing James Anderson in the last.

IND vs ENG 1st Test: His bowling repertoire glared up in the first over itself when he scalped England opener- Rory Burns’s (0) wicket and defined his way to the pavilion. Thereafter, India’s quick bowled deceptive deliveries to which England batsmen who clearly struggled to face them. Very tactfully Bumrah bowled with quite some variations in the match and emerged as the best bowler for India so far in this match.
The mighty Bumrah is back. That WTC final was one of those games all good players experience. This was Bumrah enjoying his bowling and making batting look difficult
