The India Cricket Team is currently on a long break before action resumes. After a 2-0 loss in the IND vs SL ODI series, the team’s next assignment will be the 2 Test matches against Bangladesh at home. And with Team India, aiming to retain their top spot in the WTC Standings, the fiery trio of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj and Mohammed Shami is expected to be lead the pace attack.
Apart from the batting failure in the Sri Lanka, one of the key attributes to the loss can be seen as India’s lack in the pace attack. Jasprit Bumrah got an extended break while Mohammed Shami is currently bowing in the nets, inching closer to his return. While the senior trio is likely to lead the attack, young Arshdeep Singh is also likely to be a part of the squad after his current rich vein of form.

Jasprit Bumrah – India’s most dependable bowler across all three formats of the game will be spearheading India’s attack. Following India’s ICC T20 World Cup win at Barbados, Bumrah was given an extended break to remain fresh and fit for the IND vs BAN Test series. Gautam Gambhir has previously made it clear that workload management is keen for pacers and with crucial WTC Points up for grabs, he is inching closer to be a part of the team.
Mohammed Shami – The highest wicket taker in the ODI World Cup, hasn’t played a solitary game for the country since then. Shami underwent a knee surgery and has now begun his rehabilitation. The veteran speedster is inching closer to regaining full fitness in the coming days. It has been reported that Shami would play a couple of domestic matches in his means of preparation to return to the India team.
Mohammed Siraj – Mohammed Siraj has been a regular suspect for team India across all three formats of the game. But his form has been a concern for the past couple of months. But the speedster will be eyeing to keep this issue behind him and focus on the job ahead. In Sri Lanka he partnered up with Arshdeep Singh and will be keen to go full throttle against Bangladesh when they visit India.
