IND vs BAN Test: How a perfect blend of youth and experience sizes up India’s batting order

IND vs BAN Test: Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal & Co make India's top batting strength make hosts almost unbeatable in red ball cricket

The India Cricket Team will be taking on the Bengal Tigers in the upcoming IND vs BAN Tests. Ahead of the series, India’s batting order is set and confirmed. It boasts of having the perfect blend of young and experience in its mix. Coupled with veterans like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul, the inclusion of youngsters like Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill makes it perfect for the team.

While Rohit and Kohli are at the twilight of their career, Gill and Rishabh Pant have decent experience which would work wonders for a smooth transition when the former duo walk away. The inclusion of KL Rahul in the middle order adds reliability in the team.

India’s Batting order is set

Youngsters Sarfaraz Khan and Dhruv Jurel are also on the sidelines waiting for their chance to come. Furthermore, with Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan resuming their domestic cricket stint, it is safe to say that the future of India’s batting order is in very good hands.

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma will open proceedings with youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal who has been deft touch in red ball cricket. On the other hand, Virat Kohli will move to number 4 to accommodate Shubman Gill at 3 as has been the norm off late. This will greatly help Gill to become the player who can bat at any position in the top order.

Down the order both KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant would be making their return to red ball cricket. Both are different styled player and KL Rahul as an achor and Pant as the destroyer will greatly compliment each other. Expectations will be high from all the top order batters to flourish in the series given they will face Bangladesh at home soil and fresh without cricket for the last month.
