IND vs BAN Test: India Cricket Team run a huge risk of dropping from the top spot of WTC standings in case of any unfavorable results!

The India Cricket Team will be back in action after a length break. And upon their return, Rohit Sharma and Co will take on Bangladesh in a 2-match Test series in India. Currently, Team India tops the World Test Championship (WTC) standings while Australia is placed second. But negative results against Bangladesh can see India skipping into the second spot.

Interestingly, ahead of the India vs Bangladesh Test series, South Africa takes on West Indies, Pakistan take on Bangladesh while England plays Sri Lanka. But the results of none of these three series doesn’t affect India’s position in the WTC Standings.

    3. India wins one, loses the other.

2 Losses means India slips to the second. As will a draw and a loss yield a similar result. But a win and a draw or 2 wins will see India leading the charts and aiming to go head on with Australia with a better standing in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Finally, India will take the field after a a month and a half long break. The players will be well rested and thus it is imperative that India performs well to establish their dominance in the red ball format.
