What India need to do to ensure WTC FINAL Qualification?
- India are currently 4th on POINTS TABLE
- They will have to win minumu 5 of 6 Tests – i.e 2 against Bangladesh & 4 vs Australia at home.
- If they win all 6: Their win PERCENTAGE will rise to 68.06 – which will surely take them through to the FINALS
- If they win 5-1: Their percentage will be 62.5, which still will ensure FINAL entry for India and exit for 2nd placed South Africa.
- If they lose 2 of 6 tests: It will be unlikely that India will qualify for WTC Finals
IND vs BAN Test Series: India must win their final six tests to get to the WTC Final match. They finished second in the WTC the year before. In this cycle, they would like to perform better. Even though they have suffered very serious injuries, they are nonetheless in decent health given the circumstances. Ravichandran Ashwin is back for the tests who will be the most important bowler for the given conditions in Bangladesh. Cheteshwar Pujara and Umesh Yadav have already played a four-day encounter against Bangladesh.
Bangladesh are celebrating after winning the ODI series, although it wasn’t a huge surprise given how infrequently Bangladesh lose an ODI series at home. They have prevailed ever since 2016. However, the situation presents a challenge in terms of test matches. Bangladesh are not a strong Test team; their latest visit to the West Indies proved this, and they will have their work cut out for them against India, who boast one of the finest spin bowling units in cricket.
