Umran Malik was breathing fire when India introduced him to the attack during the second ODI on Wednesday against Bangladesh in Dhaka. He sent the highly skilled Shakib Al Hasan reeling with quick deliveries, pinging him in the helmet and necessitating a statutory concussion test of batter.
Shakib dodged expecting a bouncer but was struck in the hip instead by Umran in the 12th over. The Indian followed with a bouncer, perplexing the former Bangladeshi captain even more. Another bouncer brought the over to a close, but this time the ball struck Shakib on the helmet.
This prompted wicketkeeper KL Rahul to check on his opponent and inquire about his health before the Bangladesh physio sprinted to the middle.
