It is time for the IND vs BAN Warm-up clash. And with the ICC T20 World Cup starting, there is adequate security. In fact for the Indian Cricket Team, the Men in Blue arrived at the stadium under extreme tight security. India will play their one and only warm-up match against Bangladesh at Cantiague Park.
Security concerns have always been raised in USA ahead of the start of the tournament. Pro ISIS groups have often sent out threatening messages. And with the Indian Cricket Team stars taking the field, it was an obvious factor that security would be paramount.
Threats in T20 World Cup?
While USA knows how to deal with threats, but it is always better to remain safe than sorry. As a result, New York has been working collectively with the local and the federal enforcements.
“In preparation for the Cricket World Cup, my team has been working with federal & local law enforcement to keep attendees safe,” New York Governor Kathy Hochul wrote on social media.
Previously, a Pro ISIS group sent out blood chilling messages about possibly harming the IND vs PAK clash. The two rival nations are slated to take the field in New York on 9th June.
