As per AccuWeather, there is 92% chance of rain on the 1st day of the contest in Kanpur, casting aspersions on an on-time start to the IND vs BAN 2nd Test. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th day have a forecast of 49%, 65% and 56% chances of rain respectively.

The first day of the match is largely threatened by rain compared to the rest of the days, with 65% and 77% chance of rain in the morning and afternoon with a forecast for thunderstorm on that particular day (September 27).
