India’s innings against was briefly paused in the World Cup 2023 finals against Australia after a pitch invasion. The IND vs AUS, which is being played at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad, was stopped for a few minutes after a reported invasion on the pitch from one of the spectators. India were 3 wickets down at the end of the 13th over when the disruption occurred.

A fan wearing a T-shirt that read ‘Stop bombing Palestine’ reportedly invaded the pitch towards the end of the 13th over. Virat Kohli, who was at the crease at that time, seemingly looked uncomfortable as the invader reached up to him. Security was soon seen rushing in to contain the invader.
As per reports, security officials detained the invader soon after the incident. The game resumed after the incident without any discrepancy. The invader was covering his face as he approached Virat Kohli. The individual was arrested by the Police and was brought to the Chandkheda Police station in Ahmedabad.
