In a video that went viral, Virat Kohli and Steve Smith were seen engaged in a beautiful moment on the field. With Kohli’s bat probably being the topic of discussion. In fact, Smith was also seen doing shadow practice and knocking the willow with his fingers, before both left for their positions. The duo was then joined by Marnus Labuschagne, who too was seen showing interest in the former India captain’s bat.

Former India wicketkeeper and commentator Dinesh Karthik also took note of the rare moment. Karthik was heard saying, “75 years of friendship, and friendship between Steven Smith and Virat Kohli. Two legends.”
Meanwhile, day 3 of the Ahmedabad Test was all about Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill. Both Indian batters, batted with poise and maturity to help India reach 289 for three against Australia. Gill, the young talented opener, batted for almost six hours to score 128 runs off 235 balls.

On the other hand, Virat Kohli shut his critics with his gritty knock of 59 not-out on 128 balls. The star Indian batter batted for over two hours to bring up his 26th Test fifty. This fifty of Kohli in Tests came after a long gap of 14 months.
Batting first, Australia smashed 480 runs in their first innings. In reply, India are still 191 runs behind Australia’s first-innings total. However, India is leading the four-match series 2-1. India will face Australia in the World Test Championship final if they beat the Aussies 3-1 in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
If Ahmedabad Test ends in a draw, and New Zealand beats Sri Lanka 2-0, then the WTC Final will be played between Australia and India in June at the Oval. And If Australia beats India and Sri Lanka defeats New Zealand 2-0, then the WTC will be played between Sri Lanka and Australia.
