IND vs AUS Test: Yashasvi Jaiswal reflects on International journey, recounts “talked to Virat Kohli”

India will take on Australia for the 1st Test of BGT on 22nd November in Perth

Ahead of the IND vs AUS 1st Test in Perth, young Indian batter Yashasvi Jaiswal reflected on his international cricket journey. The southpaw claims he spoke with Virat Kohli whose words of wisdom and advice have helped him a lot. The youngster further claims that he has followed Virat Kohli over the years which has been a major source of his motivation.

Yashasvi Jaiswal is turning Australia for the very first time in his career and is slated to play his first Border Gavaskar Trophy. While it is a major landmark for him, the youngster remained humble in reflecting back on his cricket journey. He made his debut for Team India in Test cricket against West Indies.

Taking advice from Virat Kohli

“I’ve talked to Virat Kohli. Virat bhai told me if I’ve to play high level of cricket then I’ve to be disciplined, I need to respect the game. I’ve seen Virat paaji over the years and he’s motivated me a lot,” Yashasvi Jaiswal said.

Yashasvi Jaiswal revealed how important Virat Kohli’s advice has been for him. He revealed that Virat Kohli explained to him that to play a high level of cricket, one needs to be very disciplined and respect the game. And it is safe to say that Jaiswal has followed Kohli’s advice kindly.

The young southpaw has been tremendous for India in red-ball cricket, clocking up the high runs in the 2024 Calender year. his next assignment will be the Border Gavaskar Trophy and he intends to perform his very best in the same.
