IND vs AUS Test Series: The final test in Rohit Sharma-led team India’s quest to become the ICC World Test Champion, and another “ultimate challenge” for Australia. Australia faces a challenging test as they head to India, maybe for a dress rehearsal of the World Test Championship’s grand finale. India will be hoping to win the Border-Gavaskar Trophy for the fourth consecutive year. The ICC Test ranking will also be on the line as India tries to surpass Australia to become the top-ranked Test side, making the series challenging for Rohit Sharma. IND vs AUS Test Series: Rohit Sharma faces FIRST REAL TEST after taking over Test captaincy, WTC Final, World No.1 at stake during Border Gavaskar Trophy, CHECK out

The Men in Blue, who are now second in the world and may have their finest team available, will be eager to secure their spot in the World Test Championship final game. The test locations of Nagpur, Dharamshala, Delhi, and Ahmedabad will give a delightful opportunity for Rohit Sharma and co. to etch their names in the books of cricket history.

The World Test Championship (WTC) cycle for 2021–2023 will come to an end with this series, which will also determine the two finalists. While the Pat Cummins-led team is through to the final, India needs to win at least two of the next four games to stay in the running for a spot in the top match.

This is likely Rohit Sharma’s biggest challenge of his time as Test captain. The hosts won their last Test series against Bangladesh, but some of their key players won’t be available. Jasprit Bumrah will be unavailable for the first two Test matches while Rishabh Pant will be out for the duration of the series.

Shreyas Iyer, will also miss the series opener in Nagpur due to a back injury he picked up in the ODIs against Sri Lanka. Being the host nation, India will likely start as the favourite. However, Australia shouldn’t be discounted as it was one of the teams that challenged the Asian heavyweights when the two teams last played in the longest format in 2017.
