IND vs AUS Test Series: A look at Mohammad Siraj’s Test career

Mohammed Siraj has so far played 15 matches for India in whites and picked up 46 wickets. Out of 46 wickets only six Test wickets have come at home for the Hyderabad pacer. In Jasprit Bumrah’s absence, the right hand bowler has the chance to put his hand up and add more wickets to his tally. Former India batting coach Sanjay Bangar is also looking to Siraj bowl in Indian conditions having found success overseas.

Speaking on Star Sports, Bangar said, “For me, I mean, yes, we all know about the big stars but maybe Siraj’s bowling, I am really looking forward to seeing Siraj as a Test bowler, because all his performances in Test cricket have come overseas in helpful conditions”. He added, “He has phenomenal ability with the new ball and old ball. Can he make a mark? Because if he does well along with Mohammed Shami, then he can open up the game for the Indian spinners,”.
