BCCI and Cricket Australia forgot to commemorate the momentous day when both sides clashed for the first time. The two top cricket boards didn’t post anything on their social media accounts or website for that day.
January 1-5, 1948 – Australia won by 222 runs
Australia defeated India in the first-ever Test match both sides played at the MCG by 222 runs. Australia scored 394 and 255/4 before declaring victory, with Sir Donald Bradman scoring hundreds in both innings.
India made their first innings declaration at 291/9 and were bowled out for 125 in the second, needing to score 359 runs.
India vs Australia Test Series: 2023
This time, a spot in the WTC Final is on the line, and it should be another thrilling Test series between Kangaroos and Indians. In each of their last three efforts, the team from the subcontinent has been successful in winning the Border Gavaskar Trophy.
