IND vs AUS Test Series – Lance Morris Australian Pacer: Pace is Pace, and we have seen over the years the menacing effect it has on batters. Genuine pace bowling in any format of cricket is one of the best things to watch. Be prepared to watch a new pace sensation from Australia. Pat Cummins is ready to unleash “the wild thing” – Lance Morris on India in the first Test at Nagpur. Mitchell Starc is ruled out of the first Test. And Morris can be a like-for-like replacement and can trouble the Indian batters with his express pace and accuracy.

“I am doing absolutely everything I can to be as ready as possible,” Morris told reporters. “If we’re talking honestly, that’s probably my best chance of playing over there. We’ll see what happens.

IND vs AUS Test Series: Why so much fuss about Wild Thing Lance Morris?

  • Morris is in the league of Brett Lee, Shaun Tait, and Mitchell Johnson, who can genuinely strike fear into opponents with blistering pace.
  • Morris made heads turn in Sheffield Shield and BBL by knocking over batters by consistently bowling above 150kmph.
  • Apart from Mitchell Starc, Australia do not have an out-an-out express pacer who can bowl consistently at 150kmph.
  • With Morris being slightly skiddy and having a deceptive bouncer, Australia feel he can be the X-factor.
  • Morris, who plays for Scorchers in BBL, is ready to get the taste of Test cricket.

“It’s nice to be back competing. I was probably bowling to the back of the net for about four or five weeks there, so it’s nice to be out there in the middle and bowling to some of the best batters going around at the moment.
