IND vs AUS Test: Rishabh Pant’s runs in BGT 2024-25

Rishabh Pant came and snatched the Sydney crowd's spotlight in the ongoing Test by smashing a bold 50 and helping the team extend the lead over Australia

Currently, Rishabh Pant created a mayhem among the Australian bowlers by stamping 61 runs off 31 balls, having scored his second-fastest Test fifty against Australia in the ongoing Sydney Test before getting out by Pat Cummins. It’s a very big contrast to his first innings, where he endured several deliveries aimed at his body, causing him considerable pain. However, in the second innings, Pant took charge, smashing every prominent Australian bowler. Scott Boland, who has been in excellent form, was taken apart by Pant, and Mitchell Starc also found himself on the receiving end of the southpaw’s aggression. Despite this brilliant display, Pant’s overall performance in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 has been a mixed bag. While he has gotten starts, he has struggled to convert them into big scores.

Recent example was in the 4th Test against Australia, where Pant scored 30 runs off 104 balls in the first innings and 28 runs off 37 balls in the second innings, showcasing his ability to build partnerships in challenging conditions like those at the MCG. Take a look at his overall runs in this ongoing BGT.
