India Cricket Team captain for IND vs AUS 1st Test in Perth, Jasprit Bumrah is ready to lead the side. The ace speedster has claimed that India has finally selected their Playing XI which will be disclosed tomorrow before the game. On the other hand, he claimed that the pitch will be spicy and the visitors are prepared to take on the Aussies.
A green pitch is expected at Perth. The stadium is notoriously known to favor extra bounce and the team is ready to tackle that. On the other hand, Bumrah has given some crucial updates on Mohammed Shami’s fitness and his availability in the Border Gavaskar Trophy.
Bumrah confident for Spict Perth pitch
“We knew it was going to be a spicy wicket and we have prepared according to that. Beauty of cricket is that if you win or lose, you start from zero. We are not carrying any baggage,” Jasprit Bumrah said in the pre-match press conference.
India is in a precarious situation. They need to win the series 4-0 to automatically qualify for the WTC Finals. On the other hand, without Rohit Sharma, the team has taken a severe hit. Adding more pressure is the Perth pitch. But Bumrah remains confident in leading his side, claiming Team India is ready.
As things stand, Mohammed Shami is not a part of the 1st Test and is in major doubt to play the second Test match as well. But Bumrah has reassured that Mohammed Shami is an integral part of the team. He claimed that the team is taking a close look at his fitness. If everything goes well, Shami will fly to Australia very soon to be a part of the series.
“We have finalised our combination. You’ll come to know it tomorrow. Shami has been an integral part and the management is keeping a close eye. If everything goes well, you might see him here as well,” Bumrah concluded.
