Australia squad for India T20 series: For the five-game India vs Australia T20 series (IND vs AUS) that begins in Visakhapatnam on November 23, the Australians have announced their team on Saturday.
Eight Australian players who are selected in a 15-player group for a five-match Twenty20 International series against Rohit Sharma’s team will stay in India after the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup concludes.
Veteran players David Warner, Steve Smith, Travis Head, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, and Adam Zampa are in the Australia squad. While the team is being led by Matthew Wade, a keeper-battler.
Josh Inglis, Sean Abbott, and Tanveer Sangha, the traveling reserve, are among the World Cup players who will stay in India. Tim David, Matt Short, and Nathan Ellis, the stars of the Indian Premier League, will travel to the subcontinent to join their Australian colleagues after the ICC World Cup.
After the World Cup, Pat Cummins will head home to be ready for Australia’s home Test summer matchups against Pakistan and the West Indies. Along with their skipper, other first-choice players Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazelwood, Mitchell Marsh, and Cameron Green will also be missing the Twenty20 Internationals in India.

Chair of Selection George Bailey thinks the team selected to play India will suit up nicely over the course of the five games and is happy with the blend of youth and experience.
“It’s an experienced squad with a mixture of players who have had their first opportunity on the international stage and that we hope will continue to develop into important players in our T20 group,” Bailey said.
