India’s selection headache for IND vs AUS 1st Test

With Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill set to miss IND vs AUS 1st Test, captain Jasprit Bumrah currently faces a selection headache. While reports claimed that Devdutt Padikkal and Dhruv Jurel are all but confirmed to be a part of India’s playing XI, it remains to be seen what combination India will opt for. Rohit Sharma will miss the 1st Test due to personal reasons while Shubman Gill sustained an injury to his fingers during a fielding drill, ruling him out of the 1st Test. He was not present with the rest of the team as they arrived for training on Tuesday.

KL Rahul is expected to open along with Yashasvi Jaiswal while Virat Kohli will probably to return to the number three spot. Rishabh Pant and Dhruv Jurel are likely to follow while Devdutt Padikkal may be shuffled up and down the order according to the situation.
