IND vs AUS Nagpur Test: Dinesh Karthik made a bold prediction on Day 1 of 1st Test. As it turns out, he has forced Mark Waugh to eat his words, “We will see about that.” DK’s prediction came true as Rohit Sharma & Co batted just once and the first Test ended in three days with India winning by an innings and 132 runs. Karthik during his on air verbal duel with Mark Waugh had said ‘Mark my Words, India will bat only once’ in Nagpur as Australia folded for 177 in the first innings. Never judge a pitch until both teams have batted on it. If both teams struggle, it’s the pitch. If just one team struggles, it’s the skills. Well played Team India 🇮🇳 👏🏽 #INDvAUS pic.twitter.com/b7QgZXlCXU

IND vs AUS: ‘Mark My Words’, Dinesh Karthik’s commentary GOLD for 1st Test, India bat once as Australia fall apart in 3 days in Nagpur HORROR SHOW, Check OUT
Highlights from India vs Australia 1st Test
India demolished Australia in Nagpur after bowling them out in a session. Ravichandran Ashwin dealt the maximum damage in the second innings with a fifer. Ravindra Jadeja broke the record of legendary Indian captain Kapil Dev’s record in the first innings. He put up a show on international return, with bat and ball both.
Jadeja became the first Indian cricketer to score a fifty and take a five-wicket haul in a Test match on five occasions. Kapil Dev picked up a fifer and scored a fifty on four occasions.
India finished their 1st innings on 400 with Rohit Sharma scoring a century, while Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel scored half centuries. In the second innings Ashwin and Jadeja were near unplayable. Ashwin finished with figures of 5/37 his 31st five-wicket haul in test. The off spinner also equalled India legend Anil Kumble’s spectacular Test record and went past Harbhajan Singh’s elusive tally.
Ashwin began with the dismissal of Usman Khawaja and then in regular intervals struck to remove David Warner, Matt Renshaw, Peter Handscomb and Alex Carey. Four of those batters have been dismissed leg-before wicket. The five-wicket haul also took Ashwin’s tally of wickets at home to 320, one more than Australia legend Shane Warne, and fifth-best overall.
