The Indian team will look to do the same this time. Take a look at how the last two Tests went for both teams in this ongoing IND vs. AUS Test series.

IND vs AUS 1st test Highlights

The first Test match, which took place in Perth, was certainly a historic outing for India. Despite the absence of their main man, Rohit Sharma, who was not with the team due to personal reasons, Jasprit Bumrah took charge and led from the front. Although it’s true that the team didn’t get off to a great start with the bat in the first innings, as they were bowled out for just 150 runs, what happened next was remarkable. India bowled Australia out for just 104 runs.

In their second innings, thanks to masterclass batting performances from Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, and KL Rahul, all of whom contributed and made tons of runs, India set a daunting target of 534 for Australia. And Aussies failed to chase it down and lost by 295 runs. The team also saw impressive performances from debutants Harshit Rana and Nitesh Reddy, who did a great job in their first outing in Australia.

IND vs AUS 2nd test Highlights

Now, what went well in the first Test was completely reversed in the second for India. If we look at the overall series, we can see that no game has been a tough contest. In the first Test, India thumped Australia, while in the second, Australia thumped the Indian camp.

In the second Test at Adelaide, a venue where India has struggled in recent times, especially the infamous 36 all out debacle during the last tour. Now in the second test, India could only manage 180 runs in the pink-ball Test. When Australia came to bat, as mentioned earlier, Travis Head emerged as the winner in his contest with the Indian bowlers. However, before that, the resilience of Marnus Labuschagne and Nathan McSweeney grabbed attention as both players played exceptionally well on the first day. Then, it was all about Travis Head, who made a blistering 140, helping Australia set a strong score of 337 runs.

Also, the exchange between Mohammad Siraj and Travis Head made headlines, but it ended with a warm hug after the match. Australia came out on top, chasing down the small target of 19 runs to win by 10 wickets, as India failed to post a big total in their second innings, being bowled out for just 175 runs.

Now, it will be interesting to see how the India vs Australia third Test at Gabba comes, as it may decide who has the upper hand in this crucial series.
