IND vs AUS: Pujara gears up for Australia by having rigorous batting sessions, veteran player keen to keep his great form against Australia going – It was against Australia that Puajra made his Test debut in 2010. In a span of 13 years, the right-hand batter has played 16 Test matches and scored 1589 runs against them. Pujara has also faced the most number of balls against Australia for any batter (3609) and is the biggest thorn in the flesh for them. The BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) has scheduled 5 full-fledged training sessions for the Indian team in Nagpur. Rohit Sharma and Co will assemble in Nagpur on February 2 with 5 straight days of training on the cards for the hosts. However, only two of those sessions will be held at the IND vs AUS 1st test venue, with BCCI making special arrangements at the old VCA Ground for the Men in Blue.
“Rohit and Test players will assemble in Nagpur before the series. They will have a camp under Rahul in Nagpur. He will join the team after finishing the T20 series against New Zealand. It’s a fitness camp but before playing a Test series, it will serve as a good opportunity to practice with the red ball,” a senior BCCI official told InsideSport.
