IND vs AUS: The focus will undoubtedly be on the pitch as India gear-up for their upcoming challenge—playing Australia in the World Test Championship (WTC) final. The venue for the match, The Oval in England, is known for helping fast bowlers, and Australia already possesses a potent seam attack. Given the weather in England, Ravichandran Ashwin, who many have predicted won’t play, gave fans a tour of the pitch at The Oval, the site of the WTC finals, which get underway on Wednesday. Ashwin engaged in a sporty conversation with The Oval pitch doctor whom he refers to as “Leez”. Watch the video below

“We have got the pitch doctor from The Oval responsible for the surface. Allright tell me what have you got in store?,” Ashwin says in a video shared on his YouTube channel.

“Good Oval pitch,” says Leez

“You always prepare good pitches but today some of our guys got hit on the practice pitches. It bounced a lot. So is it going to be similar?,” Ashwin asked again before going on to quiz, “Can we expect a nice and bouncy Brett Lee pitch ?”

“It will be bouncy, that is one thing I can guarantee,” said Leez.

Josh Hazlewood was abruptly dropped from the team, but Australia still has bowlers like Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc, who may pose a serious threat to Indian batters under current circumstances. The team also has Michael Neser and Scott Boland, both of whom have the potential to be similarly dangerous. The issues don’t end here, as Cameron Green has previously proven that he can also get strong speed and bounce from any surface in the just finished IPL.
