IND vs AUS: Another injury concern for Team India? Reports of Yashasvi Jaiswal’s neck spasms surface

IND vs AUS: Yashasvi Jaiswal has been India's best batter in Tests this year, where he has scored runs in truck-loads.

The IND vs AUS series is perhaps the most important for Team India, who have been in poor Test form over a month. Given the high stakes, they have been dealt with one blow after the other. First there were reports of KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant and Virat Kohli suffering injuries, and now a fresh one suggests, that Yashasvi Jaiswal too suffered with neck spasms on Tuesday.

Yashasvi Jaiswal Injured?

Come the first Test in Perth from Nov 22, India would be without the services of Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, and even Mohammed Shami, who wasn’t picked in the squad only. While Jaiswal’s discomfort comes as a blow for the fans, but it seems, he was attended by the physio immediately, and he batted in the nets for 35 minutes after that, as per various reports.

Meanwhile, coming to the team combinations, India is expected to open with Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul, followed by Devdutt Padikkal at no. 3. Virat Kohli will follow at his regular no. 4 spot, while Rishabh Pant will join in next, with Dhruv Jurel in next.

India’s bowling isn’t confirmed at the moment though. Of course, Jasprit Bumrah will be the stand-in captain, but his bowling partners pose a real challenge for the management. There is a certain Mohammed Siraj, who is woefully out of form, and Prasidh Krishna, who doesn’t have much experience in Australia.

In the spin department, it could be Washington Sundar along with Ravindra Jadeja, while R Ashwin could miss out. The biggest choice will come between two fast bowling all-rounders in Harshit Rana and Nitish Kumar Reddy. While the former is expected to make the cut here.
