As expected, Rohit Sharma the Indian skipper was excluded from the playing XI, with Jasprit Bumrah as the skipper for the Sydney Test. Now, what holds in future is a mystery. Anyways, India decided to bat first. Shubman Gill and Prasidh Krishna make it to the XI.
With the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and World Test Championship (WTC) final on the line, India will enter the must-win IND vs AUS 5th Test in Sydney with enormous pressure on their back. Australia handed the visitors a 184-run thrashing in Melbourne to take a 2-1 lead in the series and therefore gain an upper hand. India are expected to make some bold calls, which may include dropping key players including captain Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant for the do-or-die clash.
