One of the most intense Test series is all set to happen soon, as the Border-Gavaskar Trophy has evolved into one of the biggest clashes between two cricket giants, India and Australia. Apart from all the names mentioned above, it was Cheteshwar Pujara who was the hero of India’s 2018-19 Border-Gavaskar Trophy triumph, where he smashed 521 runs in a single series. Overall, in 24 Tests that Pujara played against the Australians between 2010 and 2023, he scored 2,033 runs at a stunning average of 50.82. He also has 5 centuries and 11 fifties.

Virat Kohli

Also, India’s run machine Virat Kohli has proven to be a nemesis for Australia, with the 2014 Border-Gavaskar Trophy being the best example. Since 2011, Kohli has been part of 24 Tests against Australia and has scored 1,979 runs at an average of 48.26. Kohli has scored 8 centuries and 5 fifties against Australia in the longest format, with a top score of 186.
