Ahead of IND vs AFG ODI World Cup clash, India Cricket team returned to practice. But it was an optional practice with only a handful attending full sessions at the Arun Jaitely Stadium in Delhi. Local boy Virat Kohli chose to skip the session along with KL Rahul and others. Rohit Sharma, Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan all three who scored a duck each against Australia hit the nets under the watchful eyes of Rahul Dravid. The focus shifts to Delhi for India vs Afghanistan game.
India and Afghanistan play a league match of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 at 14h00 local time on Wednesday, 11 October at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Before the game, India will also hold a training session and pre-match press conference on arrival. Kohli scored 85 in the previous and helped India from a precarious position of 5/3. IND vs AFG: Virat Kohli in focus as India aims to make two on two wins against Afghanistan
Kohli has often said he gets goosebumps playing at his home ground. Now, with the World Cup match set to be played at Arun Jaitley Stadium, the former India captain would be eager to put on a stellar performance. Not only Kohli, but the other batters would also be eager to show their mettle against Afghanistan.
Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, and Shreyas Iyer missed out on against Australia. All three batters were dismissed for ducks. In Delhi, the game between South Africa vs Sri Lanka witnessed a high-scoring game. The former scored 428 runs, while the latter scored more than 300 runs. If the pitch for IND vs AFG is the same as was the one between SA vs SL, then the match will be a high-scoring one.
