India host Afghanistan in a three-match T20I series beginning on January 11 in Mohali. The two teams are set to compete in their final 20-over assignment before the World Cup in June this year. This will mark the first bilateral T20I series between the two sides.

To note, Afghanistan are yet to win a T20I game against the mighty India. Rohit Sharma and Co. have won four matches against the Afghani side. They have won four games while one match was abandoned. The visitors will be missing the services of their ace-spinner Rashid Khan who is out due to a back-injury. On the other hand, the senior duo of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have returned to the T20I side after a long haul.
