India finally shook things up with their playing XI for the T20 World Cup! Facing Afghanistan in the Super 8s, they’ve brought in spin wizard Kuldeep Yadav to take advantage of the spin-friendly Barbados pitch.
Kuldeep in, Siraj out!
Mohammed Siraj, who featured in all three group stage matches, makes way for Kuldeep, a potential game-changer on these surfaces. Partnering along side the likes of Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh, Siraj was certainly the third-choice pacer for India, taking just one wicket in three innings.
Jadeja, Kuldeep, Axar – India to ‘spin’ it around AFG
This move has given India a whopping three left-arm spinners – Jadeja, Axar, and now Kuldeep! Talk about a spin party! Kuldeep’s return is a big deal. This guy knows how to bamboozle batsmen in T20s, and his special deliveries could have the Afghans seeing double. Jadeja, even though his wicket column is empty so far, brings experience and control to the attack. Axar Patel, the star of the group stage, has been impressive with both bat and ball, and he’ll be key again.
