The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) announced a 19-member squad for the IND vs AFG T20I series on Saturday.
Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan, who last played a T20I in July 2023, returned to the side for the 3-match series, starting on January 11.
Notably, this will be Rashid’s first series since the completion of his back surgery.
While the T20I skipper has been included in the squad , he is unlikely to make an appearance in the three games.

In a press release, ACB stated that Rashid Khan might not feature in any game as he is still recovering from the back surgery. Explosive opener, Ibrahim Zadran, who led Afghanistan to a 2-1 series win against the UAE, will continue to lead against India as well.
