Fans and officials in Dubai cast a worried frown as massive smoke clouds engulfed the areas outside the Dubai International Stadium. As per reports, a building outside the venue caught fire causing significant alarm.

The fire did deter some of the supporters as less than 1000 supporters had gathered for the opening moments of the game between India and Afghanistan. The incident had happened near the entry gate delaying movement. However, with the game of not any consequence, the crowd failed to turn up as it did in previous games during the Asia Cup.
