Composed India pulled off a stunning double super over win in the IND vs AFG 3rd T20I and complete the 3-0 whitewash at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Wednesday.
It was a rollercoaster evening at Chinnaswamy Stadium. After Rohit’s stunning ton powered India to 212/5, Gulbadin Naib’s 23-ball 55 forced the game to a super over.
The visitors posted 16 in the first super over in controversial manner, where Nabi ran 3 deflected byes.
Rohit Sharma then came out once again and hit two sixes to push India closer to the target. However, two singles in last two balls pushed the game to another super over.
The Indian skipper then made his way out for the third time and scored 10 runs in two balls before two back-to-back wickets ended India’s charge abruptly.

Rohit makes remarkable T20I return
After securing two back-to-back ducks, Rohit finally re-announced his arrival in T20Is with a thumping ton. The 36-year-old scored an unbeaten 121 off 69 balls to dramatically turnaround India’s fortune in the game.
Rohit’s knock was incredibly special because of the situation India were in. After opting to bat first, the hosts were reduced to 22/4 in 4.2 overs.
However, the Indian opener along with India’s new ‘Mr. Cool’ Rinku Singh (69* off 39), first steadied the ship and then motored it to power the Men in Blue to 212/4.
Meanwhile, Afghanistan innings turned out to be an absolute rollercoaster ride. In chase of 215, opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran made a strong start, stitching a 93-run partnership in quick time.

But spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Washington Sundar combined to pick both the openers to push the visitors back.
However, all-rounder Mohammad Nabi emerged as the driving force and scored a quickfire 16 ball-34 to push Afghanistan back in the game.
While Nabi’s wicket gave India hope of putting the game to bed, Naib’s last over heroics pushed the game to the super over.
