Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra questioned the BCCI’s choice of venue for the first IND vs AFG T20I as the teams battled it out amid low temperatures in Mohali. With the peak of winter season ongoing, the game in Mohali saw the players weathering the extreme chill weather, as a full scale T20 game took place.

Why do you organize a match in such cold conditions? Mohali and Dharamsala should be the last two places where matches should be held now. I have not met one person who has not told me that it is freezing. There are many other stadiums where the games could have been held. But Mohali isn’t the right choice,” Aakash Chopra said on his YouTube channel.
