A 118-ball century off Arshin Kulkarni guided India U19 to a 201-run victory against USA U19 in their final Group A game of the ongoing ICC U19 Cricket World Cup, at the Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein. Adding to that a formidable performance from India’s bowling contingent saw USA crumble as Naman Tiwari claimed four wickets. India have already made their way in the super six of the tournament.
India had a nervy beginning, with Adarsh Singh unable to capitalize on his promising start. However, Arshin Kulkarni and Musheer Khan had different plans, forging a robust partnership by contributing 155 runs for the second wicket.
Kulkarni scored a formidable 108 off 118 balls hitting eight boundaries and three maximums before getting scalped by Ateendra Subramanian. Century hero from the last game, Musheer Khan, also added a formidable 73 to the tally.
Their collaboration was disrupted when USA skipper Rishi Ramesh dismissed Musheer. Following Musheer’s departure, Kulkarni reached his century, and Captain Uday Sahan made valuable contributions. Despite a few brief appearances from Indian players, Ateendra Subramanian managed to claim two wickets for USA.
Chasing a mammoth target of 327, USA fell prey to pressure with Naman Tiwar claiming 4 wickets and they folded for just 125 runs. USA had a low start with openers Prannav Chettipalayam and Bhavya Mehta falling off cheaply. While Utkarsh Srivastav looked to pick the things up, he fell prey to Tiwari as
