IND vs NZ LIVE: India thrashed New Zealand in the second game to grab a commanding lead. Deepak Hooda was used in place of Hardik Pandya, who didn’t bowl a single over during the match. This was a wise choice, but playing him at number six despite his troubles against fast pace was, to put it mildly, a mistake. Rishabh Pant is receiving a long rope from India, which has never happened to a batter before. Despite the fact that he is heavily relied upon to provide, he has been a tremendous letdown.
New Zealand have shown a subpar performance. Due to some bizarre performances and great luck, they reached the T20 world cup semifinal this year and the T20 world cup final the year before. When it comes to bilaterals, when the real strength of the side enters rescue, they have always been humbled. India destroyed a fully-capable New Zealand team despite not even fielding their full-strength lineup. This only serves to highlight how poor the New Zealand team is and how little they can do with what they have.
