Ashwin picked up just one wicket in the first Test against Bangladesh at Chattogram. The 36-year old will aim to add more wickets to his tally in the series. The second Test is set to begin on 22nd December, Thursday. Seven more wickets will make him the second Indian to go past 450 wickets in Test cricket.

Ashwin is also eyeing another big record. He needs just 11 runs to reach 3000 runs in Test cricket. Once he reaches the landmark, he will match Kapil Dev’s incredible feat. They will be the only Indian players with a double of more than 400 wickets and 3000-plus runs in Test cricket.
