“Taskin took a painkiller injection a few days ago. Did gym for a while yesterday. Bowled 5-6 overs today. I’m not sure if it’s worth taking the risk of playing him. There are still many games left in this series. There are two Test matches. This is our chance to develop other pace bowlers. Taskin is now on the way to recovery, ” said Russell Domingo Bangladesh Coach.

Bangladesh bowling line-up did pretty well without Taskin in the first ODI
Despite Taskin missing from the squad, the home side bowling line-up did an impressive job in the first game. Bowling first, the Bangladeshi bowlers bowled impressive line and lengths to restrict the Indian batters. Veteran spinner Shakib Al Hasan completely bamboozled the Men in Blue batting line-up as he scalped a five-wicket haul. Shakib was equally supported by pacer Ebadot Hossain who grabbed four wickets in 8.2 overs.
