IND vs BAN: Make or break series for Cheteshwar Pujara, time running out

  • Pujara is not getting any younger. The veteran will turn 35 in January 2023
  • With BCCI selectors already phasing out Ajinkya Rahane, they have given a warning to Pujara to perform or perish.
  • With the likes of Abhimanyu Easwaran, Suryakumar Yadav, Prithvi Shaw, & Rajat Patidar waiting in the wings, this is a make-or-break series for Pujara.
  • For the same, he spent extra minutes with Dravid to iron out chinks. Getting out to pacers outside the off stump has been the biggest problem for Pujara.
  • The right-hand batter addressed that issue with Dravid. With a new selection panel coming up in January 2023, this series will decide Pujara’s status as a Test batter.
