IND AUS ODI Series: India’s white-ball specialists will assemble in Mumbai on March 14 after completing their fitness camp at the NCA. As for India’s Test specialists, they will get a mini break depending on how quickly the Ahmedabad Test gets over and will assemble in Mumbai on March 15, two days before the ODI series starts. However, Hardik Pandya will lead India in the 1st ODI with captain Rohit Sharma missing his home ODI due to family commitments. Follow India vs Australia LIVE Updates on InsideSport.IN.
“The guys are in Bengaluru for a fitness camp. They will travel to Mumbai on March 14. For the Test guys, they will join the team on 15th. Yes, Rahul Dravid will be there. He is not going on a break now,” a senior BCCI official told InsideSport.

However, Rohit Sharma will be back to lead the team from 2nd ODI in Vishakhapatnam on March 19. Immediately after the ODI series, players will join their respective IPL franchises and the NCA will monitor their fitness.
While the idea was to set limits for some of the pacers and all-rounders, BCCI has taken a step back. Many franchises protested the idea of as conditional NOC. Instead, NCA will monitor their fitness through close association with the franchise medical teams in IPL. This is especially for the Test players who will be in WTC Final.
India are just a win away from securing WTC Final spot against Australia for a second consecutive cycle. But India can also book their place if SriLanka lose to NewZealand in any of the two Tests.
“All players in World Cup and WTC plan will be monitored by the NCA throughout IPL. It will be a busy time. But before that, we have to consider WTC Final. As there is no Bumrah in WTC, the pace department will get special attention,” the official said.

Special attention will be on players like Ravindra Jadeja who has a history of injuries and will be crucial in England if India qualify. Besides Jadeja, pacers like Mohammad Shami, Mohammed Siraj and Shardul too will be monitored.
Considering Jadeja’s impact as an all-rounder, he is crucial to our plans and NCA will be in touch with CSK to keep a tab on his workload management. Same goes for Siraj, Shami and Shardul,” a senior BCCI official told InsideSport.
India’s ODI squad against Australia: Rohit Sharma (Captain), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, K L Rahul, Ishan Kishan (wk), Hardik Pandya (Vice-captain), Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Washington Sundar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohd.
