“Mitchell Starc lands today in Delhi, Josh Hazelwood will not be ready for Delhi, Cameron Green we are not sure. We will have to assess in next two days,” said Pat Cummins in the post-match presentation.
The speedster had suffered the injury during the second Test against South Africa last year and subsequently missed the third Test against the Proteas. During the Australian Cricket Awards, when the host asked Starc for an injury update, the 33-year-old cricketer said: “I am track still a couple of weeks and then probably meet the guys in Delhi after hopefully, a first Test match win get myself into training over there.”
India has taken a 1 – 0 lead in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, with an innings victory.

The second test match between India and Australia will be played in Delhi on February 17 to 21. The Aussie side were lacking in all three departments in the first Test match. Apart from Todd Murphy who took seven wickets, none of the Aussie bowlers troubled the Indian batters. With Starc returning to the fold, the visitors bowling line-up will be boosted by a big margin.
