There is a lot of tension brewing in the MI camp, as was evident when Hardik Pandya and Mark Boucher dodged a number of questions regarding captaincy in the press conference.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma on Monday joined the Mumbai Indians camp ahead of the IPL 2024. However, the situation around the MI camp is expected to be tense with MI opting for Hardik Pandya for the MI captaincy and unceremoniously stripping Rohit Sharma of the role.

Rohit has been one of the most successful captain of the IPL, winning 5 IPL trophies since being chosen to lead Mumbai Indians in 2014. However, Hardik Pandya’s second home-coming from Gujarat Titans marked the end of Rohit Sharma’s captaincy as Hardik was handed the mantle to lead MI.

Although the MI camp has always maintained that both Hardik Pandya and Rohit Sharma will have complete harmony among themselves, certain indications point that there’s tension brewing in the MI camp. On Monday’s press conference, Hardik Pandya and Mark Boucher ignored a number of questions related to captaincy.
