Karwa Chauth is celebrated by married women and it is a day-long fast that demonstrates the deep love and devotion for their husbands.

Several Indian cricketers including Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Chahar, and Mayank Agarwal celebrated Karwa Chauth with their wives on November 1 (Wednesday). Karwa Chauth holds a significant value for Hindus. The festival is celebrated predominantly by married women and it is a day-long fast that demonstrates the deep love and devotion they have for their husbands. It is an occasion where wives fast from sunrise to moonrise, praying for the long and prosperous lives of their partners.

Speaking more about the festival, the history of Karwa Chauth goes way back to the ancient times. The term ‘Karwa’ refers to an earthen pot used to store water, while ‘Chauth’ signifies the fourth day of the Hindu lunar month of Kartika.
