J&K announced their Ranji Trophy 2024 squad recently, and batsman Shubham Khajuria has been named the skipper for the first two matches of the season, beginning January 5. The competition will see the return of India fast-bowler Umran Malik, who suffered a slight injury during the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Nasir Lone, the upcoming fast-bowling all-rounder, also finds a spot in the team for the first time, and is touted as the next big thing in Indian cricket. Although there was a lot of hype surrounding his name prior to the IPL 2024 Auction, no team seemed to be interested, as he went unsold. After that, he will have a point to prove.
On the other hand, the team will miss the services of Rasikh Salam, and Yudhvir Singh, who have been sidelined due to an injury, as per a report in Kashmir Life.
