‘If not you, then who?’ Shubman Gill repays coach Rahul Dravid’s faith

“If not you, then who? If not now, then when?”- Rahul Dravid.” Shubman Gill wrote on his Instagram account.

Indian young opener Shubman Gill, who was having a terrible time as India’s No.3, has redeemed himself spectacularly in the India vs England 4th fourth Test. After the match, he posted on his Instagram captioning it with the message that Rahul Dravid gave him before batting on the final day. Shubman Gill scored an unbeaten 52 off 124 deliveries in the fourth innings to take India home.

Shubman Gill showed his resilience and patience in this innings as he smashed only two boundaries both of them being sixes coming at the climax of the Test match. India won the fourth Test against England which was being played at the JSCA Stadium in Ranchi. The hosts won the Test match by five wickets as Dhruv Jurel starred in the match with his 90 (149) in the first innings and unbeaten 39 (77) in the second innings.

Shubman Gill captioned his post which said “If not you, then who? If not now, then when?”- Rahul Dravid.” Rahul Dravid has seen Shubman Gill from his Under 19 days and has followed his game from the very beginning. He has backed and supported Shubman Gill during his tough times and as a result, Gill has started performing in Test cricket. After the match, Rahul Dravid was also seen hugging Shubman Gill delightfully.
